I have the business plus some land in another LLC. Does that complicate things?
It's normal around here and it's manageable. Each entity gets its own reconciled set of books, intercompany due-to and due-from accounts are reconciled monthly rather than left to accumulate, and any related-party rent gets recorded on both sides. You get standalone and consolidated reporting. Unreconciled intercompany accounts are the most common mess we inherit.
