Bookkeeping & Payroll for
Dallas–Fort Worth Businesses
Weekly bookkeeping, payroll, and back-office operations for DFW contractors, trades, and practices. Based in Bulverde, serving DFW remotely.
DFW Businesses Don't Outgrow Their Books. They Out-Complicate Them.
The metroplex spans dozens of municipalities and several counties. Contractors work across all of them, usually through more than one entity, and the bookkeeping has to hold that structure without anyone reconstructing it at year end.
Work spread across jurisdictions
Different municipalities, different permitting, different reporting. The job costing has to survive all of it and still roll up into a number you can use.
More than one entity, and they don't tie
Operating company, equipment company, real estate holding. Money moves between them to cover payroll and the intercompany balance has never netted to zero.
Bigger contracts, harder paperwork
Larger projects mean bonding, prequalification, and lenders who want a balance sheet that holds up to review rather than one that merely exists.
Complexity is what breaks books at this scale — not volume, and not carelessness.
We're a bookkeeping and financial operations firm in Bulverde, serving Dallas–Fort Worth remotely. Not a CPA firm — we work alongside yours.
Bookkeeping for Dallas–Fort Worth Construction, Trades, and Practices
The same three industries we have the most depth in at home. What changes in Dallas–Fort Worth is the shape of the problems, not the work.
Commercial Construction
Contractors running concurrent work across the metroplex. Job costing by phase, WIP and percentage-of-completion, retainage, AIA billing and schedule of values, and the bonding packages somebody has to fill out at night. See construction bookkeeping.
Trades & Field Services
Route-based and field service operations covering a very large service area. Revenue and margin by truck and by technician, material tracked to the ticket, and field software reconciled to the ledger. See trades.
Medical & Dental Practices
Multi-location practices and groups. Payer reconciliation, provider-level profitability, and consolidated reporting that still separates the entities cleanly. See practices.
The Whole Back Office
Any of it individually, or all of it as one outsourced department at a flat monthly price. See your back office.
Multi-Entity Is Where the Mess Accumulates
More entities than most markets, and the structure is usually built for good reasons — liability, equipment, real estate. What rarely gets built alongside it is bookkeeping that can hold the structure.
Intercompany that never nets to zero
Money moved between your own entities to cover payroll, recorded on one side and not the other. It is the single most common thing we inherit, and it is also the thing that causes the most trouble at year end.
Management fees and related-party rent
Recorded on both sides, or one entity's books are quietly wrong. A P&L built on that will look plausible and be incorrect, which is the expensive kind of wrong.
Consolidated reporting that still separates cleanly
You need to see the group and each entity. Most small-business setups can produce one or the other, and reconstructing the second at year end is where the CPA bill comes from.

We're in Bulverde, not Dallas–Fort Worth. We're not going to imply otherwise, and we'd be skeptical of a firm that did. What we will tell you is that almost nobody leaves their bookkeeper over the drive — they leave because they asked a question and waited four days. More on where we work.
Working With Us From Dallas–Fort Worth
Are you actually located in Dallas–Fort Worth?
No — we're based in Bulverde, Texas, and we serve Dallas–Fort Worth businesses remotely. We're specific about that rather than implying a local office, because that claim is easy to make and easy to see through.
The work itself doesn't change. Weekly coding, monthly close, payroll, and a named team you can reach the same business day.
Are you a CPA firm?
No — we are not a CPA firm. Bulverde Business Solutions is a bookkeeping and financial operations firm. We do not prepare tax returns, render tax opinions, or perform audit, review, attest, or assurance work.
We work alongside your CPA and hand them closed, reconciled, reviewed books at year end, which usually reduces what they charge for cleanup.
How do documents get to you?
Through Canopy — a SOC 2–compliant client portal with encrypted file transfer. No documents move over email. The SOC 2 attestation belongs to Canopy as the platform provider; we are not ourselves SOC 2 audited.
We carry Professional Liability (E&O), Cyber Liability, and General Liability insurance. Worth asking anyone you're considering the same question.
What does it cost?
One flat monthly price, quoted after we've looked at transaction volume, entity count, payroll complexity, and the condition of the current books. No hourly billing, and calls aren't metered.
Can you handle payroll across multiple states?
Yes. Registration and withholding obligations follow where employees actually work, not where your office is — which catches a lot of growing businesses out. More on payroll services.
Our books are behind. Is that a problem?
Common and not disqualifying. Cleanup comes first, quoted separately as one-time work with a defined end. See cleanup bookkeeping.
Do you handle multi-entity businesses?
Yes, and it's one of the more common reasons DFW owners come to us. Intercompany balances that have to net to zero, management fees and related-party rent recorded on both sides, and consolidated reporting that still separates the entities.
Unreconciled intercompany activity is the most frequent mess we inherit from prior bookkeepers.
Do you work with contractors bidding across multiple cities?
Yes. Job costing is structured by job and phase rather than by jurisdiction, so work across different municipalities still rolls up into reporting you can act on. Certified payroll and prevailing-wage reporting where public projects are involved.
Beyond Bookkeeping. Built for Growth.
Tell us what's actually going on. We'll tell you honestly whether we're the right fit — including whether being a few hours away matters for your situation.
